A Very Public Gaffe

It was an unfortunate but highly embarrassing gaffe.  As chair of the social committee for the finance department, Emily had thought arranging a public hot dog eating competition would be a little more original than the usual drinks and curry night.  It was just a small typo.  

Hi everyone, for a change how about we do something different and raise some money for a charity for our next after work social?  I was thinking of something like a pubic eating contest, like hot dogs or something.  Let me know what you think?”

The Last Advent – a screenplay

You may have been wondering where I have been for the last couple of months. Well, I’m excited to say that I have been working on my first ever feature length screenplay, which today I finally submitted to a few producers currently seeking scripts, via the International Screenwriters Association. Whether they come to anything is another matter, but just getting it out there feels like a major achievement.

The Last Meal

It was the final insult to the family of Maggie Lou, as if they hadn’t suffered enough all these years.

For his last meal ahead of the execution by lethal injection, Edgar Kalvar had requested a succotash with lime beans and mixed grilled peppers.  The very same contents that had been found in the stomach of Maggie Lou’s butchered corpse, twenty years prior.
